I’ve noticed a craze around the internet lately for fruit infused water. I recently won this fruit infusion pitcher and figured I would give it a shot!
First, I bought a couple lemons and limes at the store and cut them into slices. Most of them were a bit too big to fit into the “Fruit Infusion Rod” so I then sliced them in half again. This pitcher was meant for fruit so it had this handy rod. It is unnecessary and all you actually need is a pitcher that holds water.
While I was researching fruit water I read that the lime peels can start to ruin the taste of the water. I left mine in for about four hours and definitely noticed that. I’d recommend that after around 3 hours, take the fruit out and toss it. Then you’ll still have refreshing water, without the fruit peels ruining the taste!
#ProTip: When I won the basket this came in the lady sitting behind me tapped me on the shoulder and whispered, “you make vodka with that!” I haven’t had a reason to try it yet, but apparently you poor in the vodka, add some fruit and there you’ll have your favorite flavored vodka!
Cran-Vodkas at my house!
