This morning I had to wake up at 5 AM.
I volunteered at a CLE. I didn’t realize volunteering would mean a wake up call two hours earlier than normal.
It was totally worth it and I had a super awesome time. But…
Anyway, I needed to be there at 6:30 so I figured I would leave at 6 and get there just in time.
Seriously, who is on the freeway at 6 AM? No one, right?
Everyone is on the road at 6 AM. Seriously, what are those people doing?!
I was stopped going zero mph at one point. I expect this at 5 PM. I expect this when I drive to Portland at the same time as everyone else like in the photo above. I expect this at 8 AM. But I am normally asleep at 6 AM and I figured everyone else was too.
Needless to say, I had to make a phone call to the woman in charge and let her know I’d be arriving when check in started instead of thirty minutes before. She was very gracious and we wondered together, “Who are ALL these people and WHAT are they doing up so early?!” I arrived at 7 AM, and the rest of the day went off without a hitch.
But it leads me to a question… What time do you start your morning commute, and how long does it take you to arrive to your location?
