Hey guys! It’s been awhile since I’ve done a goals post. My October and November were a bit unusual in the scheduling department. I traveled a lot (I normally travel about once a month but there was a lot more this fall), and work was on a weird wave of crazy busy then crazy slow. This month I have specific categories to meet, sort of in preparation for a new year’s worth of goals.
WORK:
1. Bill 100 hours this month.
The holidays are looking slow around here so this is going to take some serious hustle. Yay small practice! /gah.
SPIRITUAL LIFE:
2. Cultivate an attitude of gratitude.
This was inspired by my pastor’s sermon last Sunday. There is no way to directly link to a sermon (so frustrating for a blogger!) but I think this is a stand alone message. Go here and watch the G-Attitude. Seriously.
MENTAL REST:
3. Finish Three Books.
I started a fiction book, Blackberry Winter, last night and am already 23% into it. I also started a nonfiction audiobook, Daring Greatly, on the way to work this morning and am already stoked to learn from it. I might even check out some TED talks this week as background noise at the office instead of Pandora. We’ll see.
Speaking of Pandora, a huge thanks goes out to my lovely friend Juliette who pointed out the *N Sync Holiday station… LOVE!
CHRISTMAS GIFTS:
4. Make a majority of this year’s Christmas gifts by hand.
I’m already starting on a quilt for a friend’s parents. This is a huge task since I’m not very sewing-proficient and I’ve definitely never made a quilt before. I’m watching tutorials and getting tips from friends. I got off track thanks to all the travel the last two weeks, but I would LOVE to finish this by my birthday in a couple weeks.
I also have plans for some other family members/friends that I haven’t started yet. I’d like to go on a craft binge here soon so that I can finish them in time to mail them instead of procrastinating with the support of Amazon Prime like I normally do.
PS. I am having a Cyber “monday” sale on ads right now. All ad spots are 50% off. That means you can get a Silver ad for $2.50 or even the in post ad (every post for the next 30 days!) for only $12.25! Check it out!
What are your goals for this month?
