I frequently share my favorite posts, or posts that I think you will love. Thanks to Sarah, I was able to come up with a catchy name for this besides “I liked these and I think you will too.” So from now on, it will be called Surf the Web Saturdays. What do you think??
In other news, it’s August.
Excuse me, what? How is that even possible? Where is this year going? I’m not OK with this. I turn 30 this year. Someone tell me how to slow this calendar down!
Not possible? Well. I suppose I’ll comfort myself in some internet surfing. Here are a few posts around the web that I found especially helpful and inspiring this week. Now I think I’ll go put on some eye cream.
Bonnie and Whitney read Wild for their online book club this month. I read this book a couple years ago and it hit home so hard. Check out what other people thought and reserve their book for next month!
Katelyn reveals her stunning new web design for Tell My Daughters. I love basically everything she has ever created.
Stacy’s husband Barry is on her blog writing about how they paid cash for the $14,700 van. I needed this post this week. I took my car in for it’s 60,000 mile service yesterday and feel annoyed about the fact that my warranty is going to expire and my car is no longer perfect. I spent time last night looking at gorgeous four door Jeeps online and then even wandered around the Ford dealership when I picked my car up. (I saw a GORGEOUS Fusion Hybrid that was so pretty that I refused to say anything to any salesman except that someone had already helped me – that someone was the last guy who asked if anyone had helped me.) Cars are bad investments. So I’m going to remember Stacy and Barry’s tips to keep me on the right track.
I’m not a huge cheese fan (I know, I know). If there’s a lot of sauce or salsa to cover up the taste (like pizza or breakfast burritos), I’m fine. But Michael’s Skillet Lasagna looks AMAZING. It’s going on my must-make list for sure.
I recapped a great book, Life After Life.
You can read my advice for how to handle singleness over at The Rachael Way.
I am also excited to announce that I added the commentluv plugin to my site this week! I’m embarrassed to admit that until now, I didn’t realize that commentluv was a simple to install wordpress plugin. Now, if you have a blog, when you leave comments, your most recent blog post will be linked up right under your awesome insight. I’m looking forward to connecting more with all of you!
