Happy Fri-Yay! I know it was a short, holiday week, but I always feel like shorter weeks are actually more stressful in the end. You have to cram five days of work into four. I also have a dentist appointment this morning, so it’s five days of work in 3.5 days. Eek!
If you’re here from a Friday link-up, welcome! Make sure to leave a comment to say you stopped by!

I know I’m a decade behind the times, but I finished Friends this week. I started binge watching it on Netflix when J was at Annual Training in June. I needed a replacement for Gilmore Girls (*sob*) that I finished this Spring. I didn’t watch Friends when it was actually airing because it was on the same night as my high school youth group. I think I appreciated it WAY more now than I would have then anyway.
I’d seen some random reruns here and there, so I knew how some of it worked out. And I totally knew how it ended. But that didn’t stop me from crying during the Series Finale. There’s something wrong with the left phalange!
I think next I will FINALLY watch Gossip Girl!

I finally took some baby steps to making my own Beef and Broccoli. Beef and Broccoli has been my favorite dish since childhood. Sometimes I crave it like crazy, so I will go out and spent $10-15 for a plate of it. I’ve started buying the Newman’s Own frozen pack, but it’s really not the same. So Tuesday night at the grocery store I bought the beef, broccoli and a seasoning packet. One day maybe I’ll try to make it from scratch, but for now, I’m stoked. Obviously I will keep you guys posted on how it goes.

The weather is changing around the PNW. It has been COLD the last few mornings, which is a nice change but I’m sure I’ll be missing summer soon enough. It must be getting cold in other areas too, because this guest post by Nicole has been getting a lot of views this week.
If you’re in the mood for some vegan, crock pot potato soup, head on over and check out this delicious recipe!

I’m looking into buying a house. My financial planner told me I’m on the right track to start looking into it and suggested I set up an appointment with a trusted agent. I have a girlfriend I met through the Young Professionals Network in my area who I know would get my style. I’m meeting with her, and another gal from that group who does loans, to discuss my options and what sort of plan I’ll need. I’m so excited! The last 10 months have required a lot of willpower, but I’ll have every penny of my credit cards paid off in November and I am so excited for the freedom that has given me! It’s possible that home ownership isn’t the right step for me right now, but I want to have all of the information I need to make the right decision.

Last night was the first NFL game of the season. I’m basically in heaven. Of course, I had to make sure I had the proper decor up in my apartment!
