I am a Rocksbox It Girl, so I was given a few months free to try Rocksbox and tell you guys about it on social media. I was not asked to blog about it in any way, nor am I being compensated for this post. However, if you do sign up with any of these links, I’ll get a referral bonus. But then YOU can share your referral link with your friends and get a bonus too! All of this to say that you can know for sure that this is all my honest opinion and I know you guys need to know about this jewelry rental subscription box!
Rocksbox is a premium jewelry rental service. For only $19 a month (Spoiler Alert: Get one month free with promo code: “brittanywmsbxoxo“!) you will receive a gorgeous box of three pieces of jewelry. You can keep them for however long you want, but you’d probably want to return them within a month so that you can make good use of your monthly fee and get some new styles. You can see Rocksbox unboxing #1 here.
I’m a big believer in giving yourself little treats during debt repayment. Without them, I will end up getting so burnt out and frustrated that I’ll go on a crazy binge spending spree. Small, consistent treats keep me from feeling like debt repayment is ruining my life.
If you fall in love with your pieces, you can purchase them, but you don’t have to and can simply send the pieces back right when you’re done with them and get three more without any additional cost! You will always only pay the one monthly fee that comes out on the same day each month!
When you set up your Rocksbox account you will fill out a very brief survey and then go through a long photo-gallery of jewelry pieces where you can mark the ones you like the best. Your stylist looks at your favorites and then styles your box based on those preferences.
You aren’t charged until your box ships. Their site says 1-2 weeks for your first box, but mine shipped in only a couple of days. The shipment was here only a few days after that, but it was held at the post office on Saturday because I wasn’t there to accept it. (Thank God, could you imagine a box of jewelry being stolen? Ugh!)
I returned my first box after about two weeks. It was so easy. I simply took the same packaging it was delivered in, affixed the sticker-return-label they sent, remove the second adhesive strip, and seal it up. I love that even the packaging is environmentally friendly!
Then the very next day, I got a notification that my next Rocksbox was on its way! I am shocked by how quickly the process goes! It’s definitely possible to rent multiple Rocksboxes in one month to more than get your money’s worth on the subscription fee! Are you ready to give it a shot? After the box arrived, I peeked inside and then closed it back up. The next morning I took out the three items I received to see which ones I’d like to take on our MDW trip.
This time I got a pair of purple druzy earrings, a silver and gold cuff and a gold necklace. The necklace was pretty cool because the chevron charm on the bottom strand can be replaced! My Rocksbox stylist wrote to me that if I decided to keep it, they could send me charm-strands in future boxes. I loved the idea. As it turns out, the necklace was really easily tangled. When I wore it and when it was just in its packaging, the strands kept wrapping up in each other. I’m too klutzy to keep something like that, so it ended up going back.
The cuff though… the cuff was so fun!
Alicia called it my Xena Lawyer Princess bracelet and I couldn’t help but giggle every time I thought about it. I wanted to keep the earrings, but the backing was pretty loose on one of them. Because I wasn’t sure if it was the earring itself or the backing piece that was fitting right, I decided it would be best to send it back. I made sure to reference this in my review of the box, so hopefully that set of earrings was fixed up before being sent out again!
After a couple of weeks, I felt like I’d made full use of this box and sent it back. Just like the first time, my third box shipped the very next day! Rocksbox suggested that I go back in and update my wishlist. So I did that, and found a ton more items that I thought I’d love to rent. They had several new options in the wishlist. It’s cool to see the variety of brands and styles that they have available!
My third box had great options as well!
Rocksbox has figured out that I love druzy stones and sent me another pair of druzy earrings. I’ve never owned earrings in this shape, so it was fun to give them a shot.

Not my most flattering selfie, but doesn’t the necklace just go perfectly with mint?!
I didn’t have the necklace when Nadine recorded this video, but now I wear it every time I wear this dress – which is pretty frequently because it’s one of my favorite dresses.
Rocksbox has totally become the subscription box that I can see myself receiving for a long, long time!
