Are you living a life that feels out of place? Does your life look different than you planned, either because you’re in a different city, a different career, a different relationship status or a different financial situation? Or maybe you have all of the things you planned for, but they’re not what you had hoped. You just feel like there’s something more. I’ve been there, and I know how that feels.
Where My Soul Belongs has been my home on the web since December 2012.
It has chronicled my move to Washington State after a heart break. I’ve shared my journey of coming to terms with singleness in my late 20’s. And my career path of practicing law as an associate to in house counsel, and at some point in the last six years, finally starting to enjoy being a lawyer.
I’m glad you’re here, and am excited to journey through life with you! I’ve learned an important lesson on this blog, and that’s that no matter how it feels, God has you right where you belong. When I started this blog I had no idea what that meant, except that when I pulled into Western Washington, my car packed full of my belongings, I felt like I was home in a city I’d never been to in my life.
I never imagined I would find my way to the Pacific Northwest, or that I’d discover that I love outdoor hobbies I hated when I lived in Nevada.

Update: On August 19, 2016 I PAID OFF ALL OF MY CREDIT CARD DEBT! I wrote a three-part series on how I got into that $11,000+ mess, and how I got out of it. Maybe one day I’ll figure out exactly how much money I paid after interest and all those times I charged something during debt-repayment. But that sounds horrible, so maybe not.

Even if he is a Seahawks fan.
As you can probably tell, my life in 2016 doesn’t look anything like I thought it would. It took a couple years, but life is so much more peaceful (and wonderful) when I appreciate it as it is, right where I belong. I hope you feel the same. And if not, don’t worry. I’ve been there too. I meant it at the top of this page when I said it’s a journey. But the reward is so, so sweet.
If you stick around, you’ll see that most of the posts here fit a few certain themes. WMSB’s focus right now is on living a life that’s personally, spiritually, financially and physically fit. Let’s get started!
